Titomic is an Australian firm that offers cold spray additive manufacturing solutions for industrial-scale metal additive manufacturing. Its Titomic Kinetic Fusion (TKF) additive manufacturing system, which combines cold spray technology, software, and robotics, can be integrated into manufacturers’ current systems to produce metals quickly and at scale. Among its applications are additive manufacturing, coatings, and repairs. Titomic's configurable and compact cold spray systems enable manufacturers to do speedy repairs and apply metal coatings without the use of heat.
The company acquired Dycomet Europe (a Netherlands-based cold spray technology company) and Tri-D Dynamics (a US design and manufacturing company) in 2021. Titomic operates direct and channel sales models.
In July 2024, Titomic sold its TKF 1000 cold spray 3D printing system to its joint venture with Turkish metal forming technology company, Repkon, for AUD 2.3 million (~USD 1.5 million). Named Repkon-Titomic Production Technologies, the joint-venture intends to integrate the newly acquired TKF system with its flow-forming techniques to operate a hybrid cold spray manufacturing facility for gun barrel manufacturing in Turkey. The company claims the new technology will allow the facility to offer reduced production times, a wider range of material, and enhanced performance.
Key customers and partnerships
Titomic caters to the defense, aerospace, mining, energy, marine, and transportation industries. Its customers include Boeing, TWI UK, and Fleet Space Technologies, among others. The company maintains partnerships with Triton Systems, Néos International, and Repkon.
In October 2024, Titomic participated in DNV's flagship joint industry project (JIP), ProGRAM. The project aimed to establish standardized practices for additive manufacturing in the oil and gas sector, particularly for manufacturing and repairing equipment using cold spray technology.
