Titomic sells 3D printing system to Turkish joint venture for AUD 2.3 million

Partnerships

  • Titomic, an Australian cold-spray additive manufacturing (AM) solutions provider, has sold its TKF 1000 cold spray 3D-printing system to its joint venture with Turkish metal forming technology company Repkon for AUD 2.3 million (~USD 1.5 million).

  • The joint venture is named Repkon-Titomic Production Technologies. It intends to integrate the newly acquired TKF system with its flow-forming techniques to operate a hybrid cold-spray manufacturing facility for gun barrel manufacturing in Turkey. The company claims the new technology will allow the facility to offer reduced production times, a wider range of materials, and enhanced performance.

  • Furthermore, Titomic expects to sell another system and metal powder consumables to the joint venture before commercialization begins.
