Heartbeat Health

Heartbeat is a New York-based startup facilitating reactive cardiac care to proactive care leveraging remote monitoring technologies and telemedicine services. The main offering of Heartbeat Health is “Know Your Rhythm,” which is an at-home program for the detection and treatment of heart arrhythmia. 

Through its virtual-first cardiac care offering, patients receive Heartbeat’s “Zio XT” patch heart monitor directly to their homes along with instructions on how to wear the device. After the patient wears the sensor for the designated amount of time, they mail it back to Heartbeat Health, where the results are analyzed by cardiologists, who then virtually consult with patients on how to interpret their results and what the patient’s next steps should be and order any necessary follow-up visits or tests required. Based on the results, patients are enrolled in a treatment plan with their progress being tracked along the treatment cycle. 

Key customers and partnerships

In August 2023 Hearbeat Health partnered with in-home and virtual healthcare provider MedArrive to provide in-home cardiac care services. Through this partnership, MedArrive will offer Heartbeat Health’s cardiac services to patients of health plans working with MedArrive, with a special focus given to health plans working with Medicaid beneficiaries.
