Lithoz is an additive manufacturing company based in Austria that specializes in the production of ceramics using lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) technology. In November 2023, Lithoz introduced a printer that is capable of multi-material printing, either two different ceramics or the same ceramic material printed at different porosities. It can also combine ceramic with metal or polymer. The company also acquired a strategic stake in AMAREA Technology, a company specialized in multi-material 3D printing, during the same period. Lithoz expected to combine its LCM technology with the MMJ technology from AMAREA to offer multi-material 3D-printed applications for various industries, ranging from the semiconductor to aerospace industries.

Key customers and partnerships

In 2023, Lithoz partnered with biomaterials company Himed to develop technology to print medical-grade bioceramics. It also entered several sales and distribution partnerships with additive manufacturing and medical device company SiNAPTIC to focus on the North American market and Wendt (India) Ltd. to expand operations in the Indian market. Lithoz has a partnership with the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to develop non-oxide ceramics that can withstand extreme temperatures.
