Zight (Formerly CloupApp)

Zight's core features include screen capture, screen recording, GIF creation, webcam recording, and file sharing. These functionalities are available across various platforms, including desktop applications for Mac and Windows, a Chrome extension, and mobile apps for iOS. It also includes features like annotation tools, customizable branding, and integration with popular productivity apps like Slack and Jira.

Key customers and partnerships

Zight's customer base spans various industries, with notable clients such as Atlassian, Adobe, and Figma, among others. The platform has more than 4 million users, including individuals, teams, and enterprises across diverse sectors.

In addition to its widespread adoption, Zight has formed strategic partnerships with companies like Microsoft Teams and Zendesk, integrating its visual communication capabilities into these platforms to enhance the user experience.

In May 2021, the platform announced a partnership to integrate with Slack and Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence). These integrations will allow users to view and embed Zight links directly inside their respective workflows. Further, the company introduced templates for sales outreach, customer support connections, and product demos.

Funding and financials

Zight raised USD 9.3 million in a Series A funding round led by Grayhawk Capital and Nordic Eye in its latest funding round in January 2022. The company allocated the funds to expand its product and engineering teams to improve Zight’s speed, security, user experience, and integration capabilities. Part of the  funds were also used for marketing activities.

In May 2019, the company had raised USD 4.3 million in a seed investment round led by Kickstart Seed Fund. The funds were used to scale sales and marketing.
