Myco Foods specializes in innovating new and exciting meat substitute products for the Food Industry. Myco Foods was co-founded in June 2016 by Mike Botha, John Shepherd, and Jay Croslegh. Myco Foods Limited is a research and development company focused upon developing an idea to create a range of tasty and nutritious meat-free products from mushrooms. From this was born a range of no meat products.  Global meat production is now at levels that seriously threaten our planet’s future.  UK-based alternative protein producer MYCO has introduced burgers and sausages made from Hooba oyster mushroom protein. The initial production includes 10,000 burgers and 20,000 sausages, to be released at various UK suppliers. The production process of oyster mushrooms, Hooba protein and Hooba-based products happen at the same plant, significantly cutting down on food miles.
