In March 2023 , the company collaborated with Spirit, to pursue the development of defense and commercial platforms. In November 2021 , Skyworks announced a strategic partnership with WAE to collaborate on the design, fabrication, and testing of Skyworks’ eGyro electrically powered aircraft.

Funding and financials

In April 2022 , Skyworks secured investment from GEM Global Yield, which increased its investment commitment in gyronautics developer Skyworks Aeronautics Corp to USD 200 million. Under the agreement, GEM will provide Skyworks with a share subscription facility of up to USD 200 million for a 36-month term, following the public listing of Skyworks Aeronautics common stock. Funds were to be used to advance the commercialization of its gyroplane aircraft. This includes the eGyro electric air taxi, which is specifically designed for urban air mobility, as well as the VertiJet VTOL aircraft, capable of reaching speeds of 400 mph.
