The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE: GS) is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm. Goldman Sachs has consistently ranked as a top M&A advisor and underwriter of IPOs and other securities offerings.

  • Asset & Wealth Management: This segment manages assets and provides investment products across various asset classes for institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and retail investors. It offers traditional and alternative investment strategies, as well as financial planning and private banking services for wealthy clients.

  • Platform Solutions: This newer division houses Goldman's transaction banking business and consumer platforms, including credit card partnerships and point-of-sale financing solutions.

In recent developments, Goldman Sachs reported second quarter 2024 earnings per share of USD 8.62 and an annualized return on equity of 10.9%. The firm generated net revenues of USD 12.73 billion and net earnings of USD 3.04 billion for the quarter. Goldman Sachs continues to focus on strengthening its core franchises while adapting its business mix. In February 2024, the firm announced a USD 1 billion private credit partnership with Abu Dhabi's Mubadala to co-invest in the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on India. Goldman Sachs remains committed to expanding its asset and wealth management business while maintaining its leadership position in investment banking and trading activities.
