Based in New Zealand, Noissue offers sustainable B2B packaging solutions including tissue paper, tape, and envelopes and mailers made from plant-based or biopolymer materials and recycled plastic. The company also offers reusable packaging. Noissue’s eco-friendly tissue paper is made with wood pulp and printed with soy-based ink, an alternative to petroleum-based ink.
To further develop its product, Noissue acquired microsite and QR code technology provider Tapkit for USD 2.3 million in a combined cash and stock deal (April 2022). The company was stated to be valued at USD 100 million following the acquisition. Via the acquisition Noissue’s packaging products can integrate Tapkit’s QR code technology, allowing Noissue customers to keep track of their products digitally.
Key customers and partnerships
As of November 2021, Noissue has a presence across seven countries (including the US, the UK, and Canada), serving over 80,000 customers in the retail, ecommerce, hospitality, and creative industries. Its partnering brands and creators include Mon Coeur, Aesop, McCormick & Company, and Davines.
Funding and financals
Noissue raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by Felix Capital in November 2021. The fresh funds are expected to be allocated to develop its technology, localize its supply chain, and expand its hiring globally. Further, Noissue has aimed to develop new products, having already unveiled products such as compostable kraft mailers, recycled hang tags, and reusable drawstring bags. The company also reported that it witnessed a 200% increase in customer growth across North America during 2020.
