Advanced Micro Devices (Nasdaq: AMD) is a US semiconductor company that designs and develops processors, graphics units, and related technologies. AMD generated USD 22.7 billion in total revenue in 2023.

AMD has four reportable segments: 1) Data Center (comprising Server CPUs, Data Center GPUs, FPGAs and Adaptive SoCs, and DPUs); 2) Gaming (consisting of Semi-custom Products, Discrete Desktop and Notebook GPUs, and Professional GPUs); 3) Embedded (comprising Embedded CPUs, APUs and GPUs, FPGAs and Adaptive SoCs, Development Boards, Kits, and Configuration Products); and 4) Client (consisting of Desktop CPUs, Notebook CPUs, Commercial CPUs, and Chipsets).

The US generated ~35% of total revenue in 2023, followed by Japan (~20%), China (~15%), Singapore (~10%), Europe (~9%), and Taiwan (8%). Its sustainability plans include a 50% reduction in greenhouse gases (GHGs) from company operations by 2030 and a 30x increase in energy efficiency for AMD processors and accelerators by 2025 (from a 2020 baseline).
