UK-based Peyk, a 24/7 on-demand courier service platform, entered the Last-mile Delivery Automation space in August 2022 with the launch of its delivery droid called “PeykBot.” The robots are equipped with AI, cameras, LiDAR, short- and long-range radar, and ultrasonic sensors for navigation. The bots can travel at speeds of 5 mph–7.5 mph covering a range of 31 miles on one charge. The droids are designed in a modular concept and the base can be retrofitted with three types of modules (two of them support last-mile delivery).
1. Delivery attachment: The standard compartment that comes with the droid can handle courier and food deliveries.
2. Laundry box: Pitched toward dry cleaners; can accommodate over 30 hangers of clothes.
3. Advertisement module: For indoor and outdoor advertising purposes to display custom content while traveling.
The company offers its droids for outright sale and on a rent/lease basis.
The company has launched PeykBots across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, the UK, and the US.
