The company was first listed on the NYSE in 1901, making it one of the oldest companies to be listed on the exchange. The company has 263.8 million subscribers around the globe and 13.8 million broadband connections (2023), generating USD 122.4 billion in revenue in 2023.
The company’s operations are divided into two major segments. Communications comprises wireless and wireline telecom and broadband services to consumers located in the US and around the world. This segment is further classified into Mobility (the largest category, accounting for ~69% of group revenue), Business Wireline (~17%), and Consumer Wireline (~11%). The second operating segment is Latin America , which accounts for ~3% of the group’s topline.
The company operates predominantly in the US, where it generates ~96% of group revenue. Internationally, Mexico is the company’s largest market, accounting for ~3% of revenue. AT&T aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.
