LIFX manufactured smart light bulbs, LED lightstrips, and other lighting products known for their bright and vibrant colors, advanced features, and intuitive user experience.
The company relied on a custom-built app and cloud platform to control and manage its LIFX products. However, Buddy Technologies faced financial difficulties and underwent corporate restructuring. In April 2022, receivers were appointed to untangle the company's affairs.
Ultimately, in August 2022, the LIFX assets, including the brand, products, app, and intellectual property, were acquired by the California-based company Feit Electric. Feit Electric planned to continue offering LIFX products, expand the line with new innovations, and support the existing LIFX app and cloud platform. The acquisition allowed Feit Electric to enhance its position in the smart home market.

At the venue, high-speed machine vision cameras capture images of attendees, convert them into templates, and match them against the enrolled templates, facilitating expedited access while preventing fraud.

In April 2022, Blink Identity successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) two Type one audit, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining robust security controls for data processing and handling.
