Capsule

Capsule offers a free CRM platform for startups and small businesses, particularly those using Google Workspace. It is customizable according to the needs of an SME. The basic product offers a web-based platform to organize and manage contacts on a sales dashboard. One of its key strengths is the simple and intuitive user interface, which offers high levels of flexibility and a range of features even in the starter package. As of October 2020, Capsule had more than 10,000 customers across 17 countries.

In May 2021, the company launched an integration with Microsoft 365 that included (i) a new Outlook add-on connecting the CRM platform to Outlook, (ii) a calendar integration tool allowing users to view and manage calendar events within the CRM platform, and (iii) a single sign-on for capsule and M365.

The firm launched a number of new product capabilities to its CRM platform in 2022 which include: 1) a revamped project management tool, adding new features such as customizable project boards, and project summary cards (July 2022); 2) enhanced functionality for its Microsoft Outlook add-in; and 3) integration with transpond , its email marketing campaign automation solution (August 2022). In 2023 the firm launched a number of automation solutions including a Workflow Automation solution to streamline workflows and eliminate repetitive tasks and an AI content assistant powered by OpenAI’s Chat GPT to assist with email marketing.

Funding & Financials

In July 2020, the company raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding led by Newlands Capital Corp.
