RigiTech

Swiss startup RigiTech offers solutions for inter-city aerial logistics including delivery. Its flagship long-range delivery drone dubbed “Eiger,” can carry a payload of up to 6.6 lbs (or 15 liters), covering a range of 62 miles, flying at speeds of up to 33.6 mph. The drone features precision dropping capabilities using parachutes and can operate beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) without needing to land. The drones are capable of navigating in light snow, moderate winds, and night hours. The company’s proprietary “RigiCloud” software manages the autonomous navigation of the drones. The company has operations mainly in Europe and the US.

RigiTech’s notable deployment partners include 

1) Medical Drone Service, a collaborative endeavor between ANWB Medical Air Assistance and PostNL Health, for healthcare deliveries in the Netherlands (February 2024)

2) Drone operator Delivrone to demonstrate critical medical supply deliveries in Nothern France (October 2023)

3) Drone operator Skyports to launch inter-island food and pharmaceutical item deliveries in Yeosu City, Korea (October 2023)

4) Cielum, an unmanned aircraft traffic (U-Space) and fleet management solutions provider, to launch a drone-based delivery network in Uruguay (July 2023).

The company also has a partnership with Spright, a US-based unmanned aerial system operator, making Spright its drone operating partner in Europe and beyond (May 2023).
