Emitwise

UK-based Emitwise offers a SaaS-based carbon accounting solution for businesses that rely on smart data sourcing to automatically collect primary data from suppliers for accurate Scope 3 (emissions from assets not owned by the business) carbon measurements. Emitwise also allows businesses to track their sustainability performance in real-time and generates customized sustainability reports. In June 2023, the company launched ProcureWise, a supply chain emission management platform.

In July 2023, Emitwise entered into a strategic partnership with Sedex , a sustainability data provider, to increase transparency of Scope 3 emissions. In September 2023, the company continued its focus on supply chain transparency by partnering with CBRE Group , a real estate services and investment firm, to measure GHG emissions across the latter’s supply chain, and also received an investment through the partnership. Emitwise lists a handful of companies—such as Pregis, Convoy, HH Global, Thomas Foods, Generation, and Axis—as customers.

Funding and Financials

Emitwise’s most recent funding was in March 2022, when it raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by Xplorer Capital. Previously in May 2021, the company raised USD 3.2 million as the second tranche of its seed round led by ArcTern Ventures.
