Attain (formerly known as Klover) provides a commerce data platform for marketers to access consumer data across multiple industry verticals to provide insights to create personalized marketing experiences. The fully consented consumer purchase data is gathered via its Klover app, a financial services app that provides discounts and loyalty points for users that share its data. As of November 2022, 400 million users used its platform, providing data on 2.8 billion transactions. The firm was developing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) consumer insights platform and its initial product offering was to include an insights solution, enabling marketers to understand consumer purchasing behavior, and financial services that use data derived from the Klover app. The solution was scheduled for a beta launch in January 2023 and wide release was set for mid-2023. 

Key customers and partnerships

The firm claims that marketers that have used its solutions include HBO Max, Uber, Coca-Cola, Tacobell, and Walgreens.

The firm has partnered with several demand-side ad platforms (DSPs) including The Trade Desk, LiveRamp, Adelphic as well as supply-side ad platforms (SSPs) including OpenX and Xandr, in order to build custom consumer segments, activate its data across social channels, and provide insights on sales lift measurement.  

Funding and financials

In November 2022, the firm raised USD 25 million in Series B funding in preparation for the launch of its consumer insights platform. The funding was to also be used to double its headcount (~70 at present) in the following 12 months in the areas of sales, product engineering, and marketing as well as to support R&D to enable deeper data collection from more users. Following the fundraising, the firm rebranded its data platform and parent company as Attain, while the Klover app retained the Klover branding.
