Last-mile Delivery Automation

Switzerland-based Aitonomi TeleRetail develops fully autonomous electric transport systems including an autonomous tractor-tailer and a delivery droid. The droids are retrofitted with its proprietary “AutoPilot” self-driving software and can carry payloads of up to 66 lbs, traveling at speeds up to 35 mph. The company has offices in Switzerland, Germany, and the US, with an operational focus in Europe and North America.Teleretail targeted a subscription-based business model where both customers and businesses could subscribe for robot deliveries.Key customers and partnershipsAs of February 2024, the robots were operational in resorts, hotels, campuses, and amusement parks. In early 2019, the company successfully concluded a pilot run in a partnership with Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) to deliver items from a distribution center to drinks outlets in London.

 CuRe Technology, formerly known as Cumapol B.V., is a cooperation between the Morssinkhof Group and the DuFor/ Cumapol Group, with strategic partners DSM-Niaga and NHL Stenden University of Applied Science. CuRe provides a low-energy recycling solution for used polyester through polyester rejuvenation, which can effectively recycle any type of used polyester and transform it into clear pellets that possess the same properties as virgin-grade polyester. The company focuses on addressing specific PET/polyester applications that are challenging to handle with mechanical recycling methods. The company can mechanically recycle colored, contaminated, or complex materials, including difficult-to-recycle PET bottles, film, food trays, ropes, textiles, and carpets.&nbsp;
 
 
 The company has built a pilot plant in Emmen with a capacity of 20 kg/hr in a continuous process. After the validation and testing of the CuRe Technology, it will be used to build a Demonstration Plant (25 kilotons per annum) polymerization line in Emmen to implement this technology. The company received financial support from the SNN and the European Union for the first and second phases of the pilot plant of CuRe Technology. The company also received a grant from the Dutch Government under the DEI+ program, to be used in pilots and demonstration projects aiming at the reduction of CO2 in 2030 to meet the Dutch government&rsquo;s ambitious climate targets.
 
 
 The company also participated in The T-REX Project, launched in October 2022, which brought 12 major players, including Veolia, Infinited Fiber Company, and BASF, to establish a unified EU blueprint for closed-loop sorting and recycling of household textile waste.
 
 
 In order to support commercialization efforts, CuRe Technology received funding from

 (CCEP) in early 2023, which helped in advancing CuRe&rsquo;s polyester rejuvenation technology and achieving 100% rPET for plastic bottles.&nbsp;

CuRE creates a fully circular polyester chain by providing an energy-efficient solution for endless product-to-product transformation. The company aims to look for partnerships all over the world, not only to improve the technology but also to share know-how of how to produce, use, and collect polyester products, and for vision building and collaboration on the integration of local polyester recycling facilities, and local solutions on a global scale. CuRE was founded in 2018 and is based in Emmen, Drenthe.
