Viridi Parente develops point-of-use lithium-ion battery technology. The energy storage systems (RPS50, RPS150) range from 50 kWh to 150 kWh and have a 3,500-cycle life (10 years).
The company operates two subsidiaries: 1) Green Machine Equipment, which deploys mobile energy storage solutions for products across construction equipment, waste disposal, last-mile delivery, and other mobile industrial markets, and 2) Volta Energy Products, which involve point-of-use lithium-ion batteries for stationary energy storage. Applications include data centers, medical facilities, industrial facilities, and residential and commercial spaces.
In July 2023, Viridi Parente launched its subsidiary Viridi MENA. The company, which is headquartered in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, will work with partners in the region to manufacture and deploy Viridi’s energy storage systems in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Key customers and partnerships
Viridi Parente has a partnership with Ly-Cycle and commits to 100% recycling for all end-of-life cells. In May 2022, the company shipped its initial batch of batteries to Li-Cycle.
Funding and financials
Viridi Parente’s most recent funding round was in January 2022, when it raised USD 94.7 million in a Series C round led by B. Thomas Golisano. The proceeds were used to scale up its point-of-use lithium-ion battery tech.
