Viridi Parente, a point-of-use lithium-ion battery developer, has raised USD 94.7 million in a Series C round. The round brings Viridi’s total funding to around USD 124 million at a post-money valuation of USD 700 million.
Viridi expects to use the proceeds to scale up its point-of-use lithium-ion battery technology.
The round was led by existing investor B. Thomas Golisano. New investors Ashtead Group and National Grid Partners also participated.
Viridi’s Volta Energy brand offers point-of-use lithium-ion batteries for stationary energy storage. The battery packs range from 50 kWh to 5 MW. Applications include data centers, medical facilities, industrial facilities, and residential and commercial spaces. The company was founded in 2012.
