Lumu enables enterprise cybersecurity teams (SecOps) to simplify and streamline their operations, offering an extended detection and response (XDR) platform that integrates with various solutions to provide a unified interface for comprehensive visibility of the corporate network, incident management, automated response, and threat intelligence. Lumu’s platform offers coverage across cloud infrastructure, remote devices, IoT, OT, and other networks.
The cloud-delivered Lumu platform integrates with 80+ cybersecurity solutions for data ingestion (AWS, GCP, Azure, Zscaler, Netskope, etc.) and incident response actions (Check Point, CrowdStrike, Symantec, SentinelOne, Palo Alto, etc.). Threat data is compiled with granular detail and context into a single view that can be sorted and filtered, allowing single-click responses via response tools. Inbuilt collaboration tools enable cybersecurity teams to deal with threats in shorter time frames.
Lumu leverages the MITRE ATT&CK matrix for threat detection combined with automated threat hunting and response. Lumu leverages network metadata rather than event alerts to identify threats and compromised network components.
Key customers and partnerships
Lumu Technologies has established partnerships with industry leaders such as Trend Micro, integrating its Continuous Compromise Assessment model with Trend Vision One, Trend Micro's threat defense platform. This collaboration aims to provide customers with enhanced visibility into malicious network activity and automated threat response capabilities. Lumu has also partnered with Malware Patrol and VirusTotal to source threat intelligence.
Funding and financials
In September 2023, Lumu raised USD 30 million in a Series B funding led by Forgepoint Capital to expand its sales team and invest in R&D. USD 6 million of the round’s proceeds was in debt financing.
