D-Wave brought the first commercially available quantum computer to market in 2011 with its breakthrough 128-qubit quantum computer using annealing technology. The company's latest quantum computer, released in September 2000, now comprises 5,000 qubits, and these devices are already solving complex optimization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and simulation problems for companies such as Volkswagen and Lockheed Martin D-Wave also operates its own quantum cloud service and offers access to its hardware via cloud solutions from other companies such as Amazon Web Services 1Qbit’s. D-Wave also formed partnerships with NEC Australia and the Australian Department of Defence in 2011.
