Refraction AI taps mobility industry veteran as new CEO

Geographic expansion

  • Mobility industry veteran Luke Schneider has joined autonomous delivery droid developer Refraction AI as its CEO.

  • Schneider brings more than 25 years of industry experience,  having previously held executive positions at car-sharing companies Zipcar, Flexcar, wejo (an exchange of connected car data), and Silvercar (Audi’s premium car rental service).

  • The Covid-19 pandemic has and resulting lockdowns have benefitted the company greatly--it has seen a four-fold increase in delivery orders in Ann Arbor. To meet demand, in June 2020 the company partnered with Ann Arbor-based grocery store Produce Station to offer autonomous grocery delivery services in the area. Historically the company had only delivered food from restaurants.
