DroneUp acquires drone software developer Web Teks

M&A

  • DroneUp, a Virginia-based drone solutions provider, has acquired Web Teks, an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) software developer. The details of the deal were not disclosed.

  • Web Teks, a DroneUp contractor since the company’s inception, designed and developed DroneUp's proprietary drone delivery platforms. DroneUp believes the acquisition will complement its drone solutions and help to further fast-track innovation.

  • DroneUp provides drone solutions for multiple purposes, including aerial data collection and processing, medical deliveries, pilot flight services, and the sale of equipment to commercial and public sector buyers. The company has partnered with Walmart and Coca-Cola for drone-based delivery pilot programs.
