Hyzon to supply 500 hydrogen-powered trucks to Shanghai Hydrogen HongYun Automotive

Partnerships

  • Hyzon Motors (Hyzon), a developer of commercial hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (FCEVs), has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Shanghai Hydrogen HongYun Automotive, a logistics company with a focus on FCEVs,  to supply 500 hydrogen-powered tractor trucks. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

  • As per the agreement, Hyzon expects the initial order of 100 vehicles this year and the order for the remaining 400 in 2022.

  • Hyzon notes that since hydrogen fuel cell technology is highly adopted in China, it would allow the company to gather the experience and expertise needed to scale operations globally.
