Volta Trucks raises EUR 37 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • Volta Trucks, a developer of fully electric trucks, has raised EUR 37 million (USD 43.7 million) in a Series B funding round led by Luxor Capital with participation from investors including Proterra and Agility. This brings the company's total funds raised to around USD 70 million.

  • The company intends to utilize funds to deploy a pilot fleet of trucks for customers in Paris and London, launch for customer evaluations by mid-2022, and start full-scale production by end 2022.

  • Currently, Volta Trucks has 2,500 truck preorders translating into more than EUR 600 million (roughly USD 700 million) in revenue—doubling the numbers over the past three months.
