AnyVision, an Israeli provider of facial recognition products, has announced the company rebranding as Oosto. The company has also partnered with Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) CyLab Biometric Research Center for product expansion.
The collaborative focus will be on research and development in object, body, and behavior recognition, for commercial use. This will expand its product portfolio to provide touchless access control, video-based recognition, and video analytics.
Marios Savvides, a professor of electrical and computer engineering attached to the CMU biometric center, will join AnyVision (now Oosto) as the Chief artificial intelligence (AI) scientist to expand the company’s AI team.
