  • AnyVision, an Israeli provider of facial recognition products, has announced the company rebranding as Oosto. The company has also partnered with Carnegie Mellon University’s (CMU) CyLab Biometric Research Center for product expansion.

  • The collaborative focus will be on research and development in object, body, and behavior recognition, for commercial use. This will expand its product portfolio to provide touchless access control, video-based recognition, and video analytics.

  • Marios Savvides, a professor of electrical and computer engineering attached to the CMU biometric center, will join AnyVision (now Oosto) as the Chief artificial intelligence (AI) scientist to expand the company’s AI team.
