LanzaTech, a next-generation carbon transformation company, announced the launch of the world’s first polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottle produced from carbon dioxide emissions, which is a portfolio addition to Migros, Switzerland’s largest retailer.
LanzaTech’s CarbonSmart Ethanol technology was used in plastic bottles while meeting all food and safety protocols. The bottles contain up to 30% PET obtained from carbon dioxide.
Previously in 2020, Migros, along with Mibelle, launched a range of liquid cleaning products by utilizing LanzaTech’s sustainable ethanol technology.
