RWDC Industries, a Singapore-based biodegradable biopolymer producer, has raised USD 95.1 million in an oversubscribed series B2 funding round co-led by Vickers Venture Partners and Temasek. The round also included the participation of new investor Optimas Global Healthcare Fund, along with existing investors such as CPV/CAP Pensionskasse Coop.
The funds are to be used to scale production of its biopolymer material “Solon,” and increase the capacity of its Georgia Facility in the US to 50 kilotons per year with further plans to construct a new facility in Singapore. The company is in the process of searching for a suitable site for the new facility.
