Dialpad, the communication services provider, has raised USD 10 million from SoftBank as an extension to its USD 100 million Series E funding raised in October. This brings total funding to USD 250 million, with the company valuation remaining unchanged at USD 1.2 billion as announced in October.
The fresh capital will be allocated toward expanding its product offering in Japan and APAC.
The investment further extends the strategic partnership (signed four years ago) between Dialpad and SoftBank. The partnership has already facilitated more than 1,000 customers and 50,000 users switching from telephone systems to a cloud-based platform.
Dialpad is a provider of cloud-based business phone and contact center solutions, including voice, video, group messaging, SMS, MMS, conferencing, screen-sharing, and document-sharing services. The company currently has a revenue run rate of more than USD 100 million, driven by a customer base of more than 70,000 customers.
