Kumospace raises USD 3 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Kumospace, the video chat platform, announces that it raised USD 3 million in a seed funding round led by Boldstart Ventures. The round includes participation from Lightspeed’s scout fund and angel investors, including Aleksandr Yampolskiy (Founder, Security Scorecard), Maia Josebachevilli (Head of M&A, Stripe), and Matt Adkisson (Founder, Bright.com).

  • The fresh capital will be used to scale its team, develop new features, and launch a mobile version.

  • Kumospace is a virtual office that uses spatial audio to facilitate multiple conversations in the same space. The platform offers video chat with breakout room capabilities and allows users to fully customize their space. The platform launched out of beta in November 2020. As of April 2021, the platform supports more than 2,000 companies, including Google, Facebook, PwC, and Shopify. Currently, Kumospace is offered free of charge; however, it plans to launch paid plans for enterprise customers in the future.
