SAP, a German enterprise application software company, is supposedly in discussion with Moelis & Co, an investment bank, to sell its profitable corporate learning software business SAP Litmos, which is currently valued at USD 1 billion.
Through the divestment, the company intends to streamline its business processes and focus on cloud-based revenue streams. Sources claimed that Moelis & Co is expected to start the auction process in the coming weeks and is targeting tech-driven private equity funds based in the US and Europe.
SAP reacquired Litmos from Callidus, a cloud software firm, for USD 2.4 billion in 2018, and rebranded the platform as SAP Litmos. SAP Litmos currently serves more than 30 million users across 150 countries.
