• Zing Drone Delivery, an end-to-end drone-based delivery platform, has commenced drone-based deliveries of food and other products to residents in Montverde, Florida, in partnership with air traffic navigation service provider Skyway Technologies.

• Initially, the service was launched in partnership with local food truck Tacos El Carro, with plans to expand the service to cover more locations such as Fort Lauderdale in the near future and the entire state of Florida eventually. The companies also plan to make more items including alcohol and medication available for deliveries in the future.

<ul><li> Analyst Quicktake: Zing Drone Delivery first announced the partnership with Skyway Technologies in January 2022 to install route planning and air navigation solutions for operations in Florida and beyond. However, drone-based delivery is not an entirely new service in Florida. For instance, peer startup Matterent and its partner UPS also commenced a drone-based prescription medicine delivery service in The Villages retirement community in Florida in partnership with CVS Health in early 2020. </ul>
