Storegga Geotechnologies, a British carbon capture and storage (CCS) solution provider, partnered with ScottishPower, an energy generation provider, to develop, build, and operate green hydrogen projects across Scotland.
The initial project, “Cromarty Hydrogen Project,” is planned at Invergordon, Scotland. The hydrogen plant will deliver up to 20 tons of green hydrogen per day from 2024 onwards and is expected to scale up to 300 megawatts.
The Cromarty Hydrogen Project is an outcome of a feasibility study conducted by ScottishPower and Storegga, in collaboration with major distillers Diageo, Glenmorangie, and Whyte & Mackay.
