Slutty Vegan, an Atlanta-based fast-food chain serving vegan burgers, has secured USD 25 million in Series A funding led by New Voices Fund and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments.
The funding is expected to be used to open 10 new restaurants in 2022 and another 10 by 2023. Furthermore, it will be used to hire a new chief executive officer and a chief marketing officer to oversee and aid in the growth of the company.
Slutty Vegan was founded in 2018 by Aisha ‘Pinky’ Coleman, which quickly expanded from using shared kitchen spaces to food trucks and brick-and-mortar restaurants and is currently valued at USD 100 million. The company also sells its plant-based dip range “Side-dips” at Target stores in Atlanta and is slated to release a vegan cookbook and vegan-themed CBD gummies.
