Slutty Vegan raises USD 25 million in series A funding

Funding

  • Slutty Vegan, an Atlanta-based fast-food chain serving vegan burgers, has secured USD 25 million in Series A funding led by New Voices Fund and Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments.

  • The funding is expected to be used to open 10 new restaurants in 2022 and another 10 by 2023. Furthermore, it will be used to hire a new chief executive officer and a chief marketing officer to oversee and aid in the growth of the company.

  • Slutty Vegan was founded in 2018 by Aisha ‘Pinky’ Coleman, which quickly expanded from using shared kitchen spaces to food trucks and brick-and-mortar restaurants and is currently valued at USD 100 million. The company also sells its plant-based dip range “Side-dips” at Target stores in Atlanta and is slated to release a vegan cookbook and vegan-themed CBD gummies.
