Seafood Reboot, a France based food tech startup, has secured EUR 3.2 million (~USD 3.4 million) in a pre-seed round led by DEMETER PARTNERS, SENSEII Ventures, Founders Future Good, and Beyond Impact.
According to the company, the funding will be used to finalize R&D, for the commercialization of its first-ever sea-food alternatives, and for the construction of a pilot production plant, which is slated to be operational in 2023.
Founded in October 2021, Seafood Reboot was conceived as a spinoff of Algama Foods. The startup develops plant-based seafood alternatives using algae ingredients.
