British open-banking platform Token.io has raised USD 40 million in Series C funding co-led by Cota Capital and TempoCap with participation from Element Ventures, MissionOG, PostFinance, and several existing investors. This round brings the company’s total funding to USD 90 million.
The funds will be used to expand open banking connectivity across Europe and to introduce APIs for variable recurring payments and open finance applications.
The company also reports that it is seeing a volume growth of 10%–20% month-over-month in the UK, currently accounting for around 21% of all account-to-account payments in the UK.
