Bubbles, an asynchronous video collaboration tool, has raised USD 8.5 million in a seed funding round from Khosla Ventures, Craft Ventures, Streamlined Ventures, 468 Ventures, and Bain Capital.
The fresh funds will be used for customer acquisition efforts and platform development in areas such as semantic search and topic modeling. Through this, the company hopes to improve searchability across conversations and new transcription and summarization capabilities, which automatically highlight important sections in videos and suggests action items. The company also plans to double its headcount by the end of the year.
