Ace Green to build four new lithium-ion battery recycling plants globally

  • Indian battery recycling company Ace Green Recycling has announced plans to construct four new lithium-ion battery recycling facilities in India, Thailand, and the US, with a total planned capacity to process over 30,000 tons per year. 

<ul><li> Recently , the company announced its plans to construct a plant in the US, which will process around 20,000 tons of lithium-ion batteries when fully operational by 2025. Alongside this, Ace Green is now looking to build facilities in India and Thailand. Operations in India are expected to begin by Q3 2022, with an initial capacity to process 1,800 tons, while the Thailand plant is expected to come online by 2023. The India and Thailand plants are expected to have a combined capacity to process 10,000 tons when fully operational in 2025. </ul>

  • Ace Green will use its own funds as well as partner with strategic and financial investors to set up the facilities. The company also reported that it is looking to set up new facilities in Europe and the Middle East by 2023.
