New York-based BioTech startup Bosque Foods, which develops mycelium-based whole-cut meat alternatives, has secured USD 3 million in a seed funding round with the participation of FoodLabs, Happiness Capital, SOSV, Blue Horizon, Blue Impact, and angel investor Arman Anaturk.
The company plans to use the funding for further development of its products to accelerate commercialization. In addition, the company will seek regulatory approval from Europe and the US for its alternative meats, which use a solid-state biomass fermentation process and not the more typical liquid fermentation method.
