SiMa.ai raises USD 30 million Series B funding

Funding

 • SiMa.ai, a system-on-chips (SoC) manufacturer for edge computing, raised a further USD 30 million in Series B funding from Fidelity Management & Research Company with participation from Lip-Bu Tan and previous investors. This brings SiMa’s total Series B funding to USD 110 million and its total funding to USD 150 million.

 • The funds will be used to scale the company’s engineering and business teams globally and invest in hardware and software product development.

Analyst QuickTake : SiMa.ai offers a similar solution to Kneron , Syntiant , and Blaize , all of which raised funding in the past year (Syntiant raised USD 55 million in March; Kneron raised USD 25 million last December; Blaize raised USD 71 million last July).
