Clear Street, an API infrastructure provider for securities clearing and custody, has raised USD 165 million in Series B funding led by Prysm Capital with participation from NextGen Venture Partners, Walleye Capital, Belvedere, NEAR Foundation, McLaren Strategic Ventures, Validus Growth Investors, and several angel investors. This round valued the company at USD 1.7 billion and brings its total funding up to USD 335 million.
The funds will be used to accelerate the launching of its platform, expand its client base, form new partnerships, and recruit new members.
Clear Street currently processes over USD 3 billion in trades daily, and its financing balances and equity transactional volume grew 220% and 510%, respectively, since the beginning of 2021.
