eFuse acquires media outlet Esports GG

M&A

  • Esports infrastructure platform eFuse has acquired global esports media outlet Esports.gg for an undisclosed amount.

  • Founded in 2020, Esports GG is an online portal for news from across the esports industry. It offers a curated list of recent developments for games including League of Legends, CS:GO, Valorant, Dota 2, and Rocket League.

  • The acquisition was motivated by eFuse’s strategy to support its growing gamer community and strengthen its content division to unlock additional revenue opportunities.

  • Analyst QuickTake: The acquisition diversifies the company’s revenue streams—a strategy the company has used since launching Pipeline (June 2021), a program that ranks the top 100 college-eligible players. The grassroots program supports League of Legends and Valorant and uses an Aim Lab-specific ranking system to identify talent.
