Teraki, a Germany-based autonomous software solutions provider, has partnered with fast-food chain Domino’s Pizza to pilot droid-based deliveries in Berlin, Germany.
Initially, one Droid will be deployed to deliver pizzas and drinks to Domino’s customers living around its restaurant in Berlin-Charlottenburg-Nord for over a five-week period. The companies plan to expand the service to include more droids depending on the success of the initial tests.

Analyst QuickTake: Today’s partnership marks the second back-to-back collaboration of Teraki to deploy droids for food delivery. Last month, Teraki partnered with online food delivery company Foodora, to bring delivery droids to sidewalks in Stockholm, Sweden—entering the last-mile delivery automation space. The partnership also strengthens Domino’s ongoing efforts to automate the delivery process. Domino’s has previously partnered with droid maker Starship Technologies, as well as autonomous delivery vehicle startup Nuro and incumbent Ford, and drone-based delivery services provider Skydrop for food delivery in various territories.
