Laminar, a cloud-native data security startup, has secured a USD 30 million extension to its Series A funding round from Tiger Global Management and Salesforce Ventures. This brings the total funds raised to USD 67 million in less than six months.

The funds will be utilized to accelerate product innovation, expand sales and marketing, and grow its global team.
In addition to the funding, Laminar launched three new product capabilities within its Cloud Data Security Platform. These include expanded multi-cloud support for Microsoft Azure alongside its existing Amazon AWS support; a complete suite of automated data-centric security policies to prevent sensitive data breaches or leaks, which are independent of the cloud architecture that stores it; and autonomous discovery and classification of shadow data in self-hosted, embedded databases, which do not require their access credentials or location.
