The Live Green Co partners with Sigma’s FoodForms to develop novel plant-based food additives

Partnerships

  • The Live Green Co, a Boston-based food tech startup that utilizes machine learning to develop plant-based meats and dairy, has partnered with FoodForms, an internal startup by the global packaged food company Sigma, to develop plant-based food additives that can be used in lieu of regular food additives.

  • This partnership will involve using the machine learning platform of Live Green, Charaka, which contains over 400,000 plants, compounds, and data points to make recommendations on plant-based ingredients to substitute food additives.

  • FoodForms is expected to lend its expertise on consumer behavior and food R&D as well as provide support for scaling efforts.
