Australian quantum hardware company Silicon Quantum Computing has launched a Series A funding round to raise AUD 130 million (USD 90 million). The round follows the company’s seed round, which raised AUD 83 million (USD 57 million) in 2017.
The proceeds from the round will be used to accelerate the company’s hardware development plans including introducing a 10-qubit prototype processor by 2023 and building a 100-qubit quantum device by 2028. The funds will also be used to support its strategic, operational, and growth initiatives.
