Pond Technologies, a startup converting carbon emissions into algae-based products, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SEM Energy, a Scottish sustainable technology company.
The MOU will focus on a Scotland-based project to remove 10,000 metric tons of CO2 from a waste-to-energy gas stack, which is expected to commence in Q4 2022.
This deal allows Pond to leverage SEM’s project pipeline to commercialize and scale up its proprietary carbon-to-algae platform globally.
