Mrs.Goldfarb’s Unreal Deli, a California-based startup producing plant-based meat alternatives, has announced a Series A funding round led by Mark Cuban–who reinvested USD 500,000 on top of his initial USD 250,000 investment–and the Getty Family.
It is keeping the funding round open, allowing other investors to join in. The company was valued at USD 50 million by both investors. No statement has yet been made about the planned use of the funds.
Analyst QuickTake: The company first appeared on Shark Tank in 2019 where Mark Cuban made his initial investment for a 20% equity in the company. The second and much larger investment from the billionaire entrepreneur indicates the faith he has in the company and could allow it to attract other investors.
