Magnite partners with LG Ads to access one of the world’s largest CTV customer datasets

Partnerships

 • Magnite, a leading independent supply-side ad platform (SSP), announced a multi-year partnership with LG Ads Solutions, an ad marketplace for linear and connected TV (CTV) offered via LG smart TVs and other partner device manufacturers.

 • Headquartered in Silicon Valley, LG Ads Solutions was created in partnership with LG, a leading South Korean home entertainment device manufacturer, and Alphonso, a TV data and measurement company acquired by LG Electronics. The firm's ad platform provides a one-stop platform for programmatic media buying for LG CTV inventory as well as analytics solutions for granular customer targeting. The firm's device partners include LG, Sharp, Hisense, Toshiba, Seiki, and Tivo.

 • As part of the partnership, Magnite will gain access to audience-level automatic content recognition (ACR) data, which would be integrated with Magnit’s SSP. Magnets users will be able to access audience-level ACR data from opted-in LG smart TVs in the US. The service is expected to be expanded to other countries beginning in 2023.

Analyst QuickTake: The partnership with LG Ads, which provides it with access to LG smart TV’s ad inventory, is in line with Magnite’s objective of expanding its CTV offerings. Another case in point is its partnership with Samsung Ads in order to deliver over-the-top (OTT) and CTV advertising for Samsung Plus in India.
